Prodigy and Online Surveys

From 1992 to 1995, we worked on a pioneer experiment in online survey research online for the Prodigy service. This page contains information and papers presented on that topic at the 1995 and 1997 AAPOR conferences.

What is the significance of it all?

While we have implemented significance testing routines for our tabulation software, we feel that such significance testing is mostly misapplied when used in sample surveys.  This article describes an egregious example in PC Magazine's 2000 Service and Reliability ratings.
